Jan Antem is a lyric baritone born in Barcelona in 1998. Trained by renowned singers such as Luca Salsi and Davide Luciano, he has developed a fruitful career that has taken him to stages like the Arena di Verona (where he performed Schaunard in La Bohème and Dancairo in Carmen), the Teatro Regio di Torino (Schaunard), the Deutsche Oper Berlin (Don Alvaro in Il viaggio a Reims) or the Teatro Massimo di Palermo (performing Conte Robinson in Il matrimonio segreto).

He had the honor of being conducted by maestros such as Fabio Luisi, Marco Armiliato, Andrea Battistoni, Frédéric Chaslin or Daniel Oren.

In 2023, he was awarded the Ópera Actual Award for the most promising young Spanish singer of the moment and he recently received the Ópera XII Award for best young Spanish singer.

Last season, Jan Antem made his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu as Dancairo in Carmen, at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna as Belcore in L’elisir d’amore, at the Castell de Peralada Festival with The Telephone by Menotti, and at the Olympia Theatre in Athens as Dandini in La Cenerentola.

Recently, Jan Antem made a successful debut at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari in the role of Sulpice in La Fille du Régiment and is scheduled to debut at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville and return to the Gran Teatre del Liceu and the Arena di Verona.
